What event’s will you allow?
Our focus is supporting events that are creative or emergent/experimental ideas. This might include music, theatre, art exhibitions and social events. They can be public, free to attend, ticketed, or private for use such as filming music videos or private screenings.

Art can challenge our feelings, thinking, perspectives, political views, and spiritual beliefs. Our team welcomes work some might find challenging, and use their best discretion in deciding if an event aligns with our purpose of cultivating a creative ecology.

How much does the venue cost?*
You can book the venue for the morning, afternoon, or evening.
If price is an issue, let us know.
 
$200+GST for a free, creative, not-for-profit, or community event
$400+GST for small business, private, or ticketed event
$600+GST for Corporate Event

*Or split the ticket sales with us 50%.

Can I hire the venue for an Exhibition?
Yes. XCHC can be used for pop-ups or week long+ exhibitions. Please contact us if you’re interested in using the space.

What equipment does the venue provide?
The venue hire includes use of:
•Microphone
•12-channel Mixer
•Sound System (4 RCF PA speakers)
•Projector/Screen (please bring your own MAC or PC)
•Bluetooth and AUX cable connectivity to sound system
•Fibre Wifi (Network: XCHC1 Password: workspace)
•Tables:
- 5 large | 2m x 1m | 6-8 people
- 5 metal bar leaners | 4 people
- 2 large rectangular workshop tables | 6 - 10 people each
•Chairs: 80
•Bar stools: 20

Can we hire your eftpos machine?
Yes. We charge 10% of whatever amount is processed.

When can we setup our event?
Please enquire as this depends on the day of the week.

Can we use the kitchen?
Yes. Our dishwasher, plateware, cutlery and glasses are available for an additional fee.

What are the catering/food options?
We do not offer catering at this time.

What about having alcohol at our event?
BYO - is allowed for a $10 per person.
Bar Service - Having a Duty Manager serve your event is $30ph. 

What do we do with rubbish?
There are bins in the alleyway along the right side of the building. We are environmentally conscious at XCHC and urge hosts to use appropriate recycle, compost, and rubbish bins.

How do you plug into the PA system/speakers and projector?
We will setup the A/V for your event. 

Are there limitations on sound?
Yes. Due to residential tenancies in the area, we are not allowed to have excessive noise after 12-midnight.

Are there any other costs we need to be aware of?
Any additional costs (cleaning, staffing, equipment hire etc.) will be charged to the event host.
